Production For Media | Egypt Part I

For the Art Style Analysis Part 1 Developing A Story portion of this project, our team was assigned Egyptian Culture.  For the art portion, we split the two objects amongst us three artists.  The artists include Cody Noll, Robert Kowalchuk, and myself.  The two items are a scarab lantern and an ankh scepter.

The first object is a scarab lantern.  This item was buried in the tomb that the main character was mummified in.  The character when woken in the afterlife by the Shaman, takes this item with him.  When walking in dark areas the wings of the lantern open and it flies ahead, lighting the path and acting like a guide similar to Navi (Zelda).  When in lit areas, it is closed and can be attached to the character's belt.

The second item is a scepter with the handle of an ankh.  The sword portion can compact into the ankh handle and is made of gold.  This "weapon" opens the gate to the afterlife at the end of the Hero's Journey.
