2D Week 13 | The Thing

This past week we watched John Carpenter's The Thing.

1. Who was the director of the film? What other movies this director produced?
   John Carpenter, who also did Halloween, Escape from L.A., and Big Trouble in Little China
2. Artisticaly, what did you like about this film?
   I really liked the character props/practical effect bodies of the aliens (the one they brought back from the Norwegian camp and the dog/alien body). The warping in between the host and the imitators was really neatly captured in those sculptures. The orange and blue lighting color palette was also appropriate. My favorite environments were the alien ufo dig site and the inside of the destroyed and iced over camp.
3. Who is the thing at the end of the movie?
   Childs is the thing.
